Can You Hire Someone to Decorate Your Christmas Tree?

Can You Hire Someone to Decorate Your Christmas Tree?

Yes, and for a growing number of Dublin, Wicklow, and Kildare households, it has quietly become the obvious way to do it. The question itself tends to come from the same place: another year, another tangle of lights, another weekend spent on a ladder achieving a tree that still doesn’t look quite right. There is a better way to spend December.

What “Hiring Someone” Actually Means

At Pines & Co, it doesn’t mean a stranger turning up with a box of mismatched baubles. It means a real Nordmann fir, sourced from The Farm in Co. Wicklow, installed to a considered design concept, and finished with the same restraint you’d expect from any well-styled room in your home.

Every tree we install is supplied under a rental model. The tree, the lights, the trims, all of it remains Pines & Co property. At the end of the season, we return, remove everything, and the tree itself goes back to The Farm to be chipped into livestock bedding and woodland mulch. No storage boxes in your attic. No string of lights to argue with next November.

The Three Ways to Do This

Not every household wants the same level of involvement, so the service is tiered:

Premium. Delivery and install. We source the tree, deliver it, and stand it correctly in your space. The finishing touches are yours.

Deluxe. The same as Premium, delivery and install, with a half whiskey barrel stand included as standard. Lighting is available as an optional extra for corporate clients.

Supreme. The complete service. Tree, lighting, and full styling, finished top to bottom by our team to one of five signature design concepts. This is the tier for anyone who wants to come home to a finished tree and nothing more to do.

What It Costs

A small tree starts from €130. A fully styled 12ft tree, complete with lights, trims, and the full Supreme finish, runs to roughly €1,500. Larger statement trees and outdoor installations are quoted individually, since no two spaces or briefs are the same.

Why People Choose This Over Doing It Themselves

The honest answer is rarely about laziness. It’s three things, in order:

  • Time. December is already full. A two-hour install replaces what is often a full weekend of sourcing, stringing, and adjusting.

  • Height and access. A 10-12ft tree is not a ladder job most people want to take on in their own hallway.

  • The look. A genuinely cohesive design concept, balancing proportion, light density, and colour, is harder to achieve alone than it looks. It’s a craft, not a quantity of ornaments.

There’s a fourth reason people don’t always mention upfront, which is the January problem: getting a real tree out of the house, off to recycling, and the lights untangled and stored somewhere sensible. With a rental model, that part simply isn’t your job.

Real, Not Artificial

Every tree we install is real. Artificial is available only on request, typically where extended display periods or access constraints make a real tree impractical. For most homes and offices, the genuine article, and the scent that comes with it, is the whole point.

Who This Is For

Private homes across Dublin, Wicklow, and Kildare sit alongside five-star hotels, corporate headquarters, and event spaces, all wanting the same outcome: a tree that looks considered, installed by people who do this every day, with none of the logistics landing on them. The common thread isn’t taste. It’s time.
